First Quarter is the ultimate real estate conference event time, just before the market heats up in the spring. What a whirlwind! Our leadership team just landed back on the west coast after a fantastic series at Inman Connect New York 2019. We were honored to once again sponsor CMO Connect, and our very own Bill Yaman spoke on a marketing strategy panel.
A myriad of different conferences and networking opportunities exist for real estate professionals: local meetups, vendor-sponsored affairs, or brand-specific events. But where do brokers, executives, directors, or leaders need to be focusing their attention? This real estate conferences list for brokers and executives lays out the best-of-the-best across the country.

Brad Inman marshals a leading content source on the real estate industry, Inman News. Twice a year, Inman also supports an international gathering of leaders called CONNECT. Previously occurring in New York and San Francisco, it will find its summer home in Las Vegas in 2019.
The best part about Connect conferences are the specific tracks within the agenda. General sessions sponsor keynote speakers discussing high level trends interesting to all professionals – but attendees can maximize their time at smaller sessions that focus on key pieces like marketing, technology, financial investment, team building, and more.
For our execs, we recommend spending a little extra to gain access to CMO Connect, CEO Connect, and/or Broker Connect. These sessions dig into the nitty-gritty topics that chief operatives want to investigate. Maximize your time by bypassing the young-agent sales tactics sessions and network with other c-suite players discussing the most pressing changes to our industry.

There’s no party like the regality of the LeadingRE Annual Conference. This yearly international summit celebrates the collective achievements of top performing companies throughout the world. If your company is strong enough to be a member of this network, their annual conference is a not-to-be-missed event.
Similar to other large-scale conferences, LeadingRE supports different focus tracks in addition to general sessions. Originally this conference only focused on the relocation professionals that worked with agents and their referral business. Now, LeadingRE has expanded to include sessions on luxury sales and marketing, marketing and technology innovation, broker tactics, and office leadership and management.
In this arena, members are not afraid to share their best practices and even their failures. Open discussions of what works and what doesn’t take place in every session, fostering an environment of open dialogue among executives. Many leading attendees and panel speakers are from award winning companies and have great insight to share that you may not hear at other real estate conferences.
Another highlight for executives is the large vendor salon. Set up more like a carnival than a convention (but with sponsored drinks and food), the vendor salon allows you to see the best of the best industry technology all in one – enjoyable – place.

2019 is the inaugural year for RGX (Realogy Global Exchange). This year, attendees can attend sessions specific to their Realogy brand but also enjoy group general sessions and networking opportunities. Collaboration here is bound to lead to some amazing innovative conversations.
While this conference is for members of Realogy only – that includes a large percentage of active professionals in the United States. Executives especially shouldn’t pass up this opportunity to witness the strength of one of the largest and oldest real estate traditions and network with peers. “We believe that it’s important to celebrate and exchange both what brings us together and what makes us different.” rgxsource.com
Conferences that will coincide with RGX include:
- Coldwell Banker: The Generation Blue Experience, or more commonly shortened to GenBlue
- Century21: One21 Experience
- Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate: FUSION 2019
- ERA Real Estate: FUEL 2019

This is the pinnacle. Why have a National Association of Realtors and not leverage the amazing networking opportunities between all of us in this industry? NAR hosts two large conferences for US real estate professionals. In the spring, the Legislative Meetings and Trade Expo occur – bringing new ballot measures to light for agents to understand the way politics affects and drives changes to real estate market. In the fall, NAR invites you to their REALTOR focused conference full of skill training, vendor markets, and networking galore. In 2018, NAR estimated over 20,000 agents attended the Conference & Expo, with an estimated 1,500 coming from other countries.
Throughout the year, NAR also provides smaller, more niche, conferences like Tech Edge and Broker Summit. They also support state specific summits for each state chapter of Realtors®.

Even though this convention is just for Keller Williams agents and leaders, executives of that brand shouldn’t count it out as a great conference. Regardless of which brand or independent real estate leaders are aligned with, Gary Keller’s The Millionaire Real Estate Agent, affectionately known as The Red Book, is a staple on every real estate professional’s book shelf.
The kick-off event, Family Reunion, is notorious for a wide variety of sessions targeting all sorts of KW specific topics, including their BOLD and MAPS educational segments. Known for embracing the unique structure and strength of teams, KW brings team leaders from all over the world to discuss best practices and success strategies.

One of the most iconic brands in real estate history – seldom will you meet an American who doesn’t recognize that hot air balloon. The RE/MAX bash takes place in Las Vegas (to accommodate the sheer size of their brand). Events are equally divided between educational and entertaining – bringing everyone together for an engaging conference.
“One of the most valuable parts of R4 is the face-to-face training with the RE/MAX Technology team. It’s great to be able to ask them questions in person and learn tips and tricks to pass on to our agents.” – Chantelle Limon, Director of Marketing RE/MAX

Self-defined as THE CONFERENCE for Real Estate Leaders, the speaker line-up is always phenomenal and comprised of the top thought-leaders in our industry. At the Gathering of Eagles, sessions are deep and driven by a passion for innovation in real estate. It’s a shorter conference than others, but there is a Pre-Conference session known as DealMakers two days prior also sponsored by RealTrends.

LRE®, or known by its full name “Who’s Who in Luxury Real Estate,” holds two retreats (conferences) throughout the year for its exclusive members. Typically, one retreat is held in a country outside of the U.S. to facilitate partnerships with it’s luxury members across the globe.

#9 BHHS Sales Convention / Real Living Sales Convention
This contender sneaks under the radar for many – but Warren Buffet’s family of real estate companies are a strong force. Whether your brokerage holds the cabernet Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices name or the unique red sneakers of Real Living – the annual sales conventions are a jam-packed few days of intense education, networking, and leadership.
At the BHHS Sales Convention, or later in the year at the Marketing Conference, hundreds of companies across the country gather to share how they leverage a strong, traditional brand among the disruptors and noise of new competition. BHHS vets and verifies vendors for their conferences, allowing their companies to fashion their stacks themselves – but choosing from the best. This cuts down on stress of searching through every tech/tool/service provider for real estate to just the ones that pass muster of being BHHS Preferred Vendors (Imprev is honored to be one of those such services.)
Created for Real Living brokers and execs, RLConnection is an intimate weekend with your peers in Surf City, USA!
