Inman Connect San Francisco (ICSF 2018) took place at the Hilton Union Square hotel in San Francisco and was a week’s worth of intriguing debate, in-depth sessions, exclusive networking events, and time to catch up with industry friends from all over the world. Key events included the popular Hacker Connect, Indie Broker Summit, and the first-ever CMO Connect – geared toward executive marketing leaders in the real estate world.

Acclaimed advertiser Bob Hoffman started off the session by delivering a provocative view on the current state of digital advertising (my mind is still reeling from that one!). Fantastic leaders like David Marine, SVP Marketing for Coldwell Banker, Mitch Robinson, SVP Marketing and Communications for eXp Realty, and Matt Spangler, Chief Creative Officer at Compass, were involved with on-stage discussions during CMO Connect, with many insightful takeaways presented throughout the sessions. Insightful advice and poignant presentations were also given by creatives such as Matthew Luhn, an accomplished storyteller that worked with Pixar Animation Studios.
Pro tip: An inspiring story has five key points. Everyone can use these points, whether you’re creating a brand story, marketing campaign, or business presentation (even a listing presentation!).

What many conference goers deemed a “not-to-be-missed event,” jam-packed into just one week in San Francisco, Inman Connect ‘18 ran the gamut of topics for those of us in proptech.
